Dental bridges are a fabulous way to replace missing teeth. Dental bridges offer a permanent tooth replacement option that is anchored in place either by your natural teeth or with the help of dental implants. A dental bridge is similar to a dental crown in how it is attached to your teeth. If we decide to use your natural teeth to act as anchors or abutments, we will reshape them by removing some of the enamel from the outside of the teeth. The bridge is made to “bridge” the gaps where teeth are missing either due to physical trauma or excessive decay.
Dental crowns are a very common restorative dental option that can save damaged or decaying teeth from having to be extracted. Crowns replace the chewing surface (the crown) or your teeth with a cap that is made to look and act exactly as your natural teeth would. Dental crowns can be crafted from a wide variety of materials including, ceramic, metal, gold, porcelain, and combinations therein.
When tooth loss becomes an issue in your life, it can be a real drag. Missing teeth make it hard to eat the foods you want, speak naturally, and can have a serious impact on your self-esteem. Fortunately, dentures offer a great way to replace missing teeth. Dentures are typically a removable tooth replacement option and can replace a few missing teeth using a partial denture, or a full arch of missing teeth with a full denture.
Inlays and onlays are similar to fillings in that they restore a small portion of a tooth that has experienced decay or, to a lesser extent, physical trauma. The difference between a filling and an inlay or onlay is fillings are applied to your teeth as a direct restoration, whereas inlays and onlays are applied to your teeth as an indirect restoration. What this means is inlays and onlays are crafted outside of your mouth, usually in our dental laboratory, to fit into your tooth precisely.
